The upstairs level has been restored to its former glory to offer a flexible and accommodating space. Awarded Victoria's Hottest Restaurant 2012 by The Australian, Moon Under Water is a gorgeous setting for Andrew McConnell and Josh Murphy to present their acclaimed food. Moon Under Water provides a weekly changing, four course prix fixe menu focusing on the best seasonal produce available, which can be paired with matching wines. Sommelier Campbell Burton has crafted a carefully considered wine list which showcases low intervention wine and small producers. Coming to Moon Under Water provides the opportunity to relax and appreciate this unique dining experience. In 1982, Mamma Vittoria combined her love for cooking and meeting people by opening a typically Italian, family restaurant in Smith Street, Fitzroy, Mamma Vittoria’s.Since that first day she has been lovingly serving her customers nothing but the very best. Always family owned and operated, many of her family have spent their time working in the restaurant. Today, one of her sons, Riccardo, has the run of the kitchen, cooking up new tasty dishes to complement her traditional, Italian inspired, Mamma Vittoria favourites.
